Kite Markets: an AI trading copilot for tokenized equities

1. Abstract
Tokenized equities bring the world's most liquid stocks on-chain, but the tooling to trade them is fragmented: quotes in one place, charts in another, execution in a wallet, and context nowhere. Kite Markets collapses that stack into a single terminal where a trader can watch the tape, read the market, and swap — with an AI copilot that answers questions using live data instead of stale training memories.
2. Background
Robinhood Chain is an Arbitrum Orbit rollup (chain ID 4663) purpose-built for tokenized equities. Each token tracks a real share of a listed company 1:1, and official asset registries publish the canonical contract addresses and live bid/ask prices for every tokenized asset.
This matters because on-chain stock trading has historically failed on data quality: price feeds drifted from the underlying exchange, and traders had no way to verify they were getting a fair fill. By building directly on the official asset and price APIs, Kite Markets anchors every chart, alert, and swap to the same prices the underlying market uses.
3. The problem
- ▸Fragmented workflow. Traders bounce between charting sites, price aggregators, news readers, and wallet apps to execute a single decision.
- ▸Stale AI. General-purpose chatbots hallucinate prices and can't act — they describe the market without touching it.
- ▸Opaque pricing. Tokenized stocks often trade away from their NYSE reference price, and retail has no quick way to see the premium before swapping.
- ▸Crypto/stocks divide. Portfolio tools treat tokenized equities and crypto as separate worlds, even though the same trader lives in both.
4. Kite Markets
Kite Markets is a web terminal with four connected surfaces, each built around the same live data core:
- ▸Watchlists & charts. Tokenized stocks and major cryptocurrencies side by side, with intraday sparklines, live quotes, and technical indicators (RSI, moving averages).
- ▸Fair-price check. Every stock quote shows the on-chain bid/ask next to the NYSE reference price, so the premium of a swap is visible before you commit.
- ▸AI copilot. A trading assistant wired to live quotes, technicals, and news. It can answer "what's NVDA doing?" with real data and set price alerts on command.
- ▸Portfolio. Positions, open P&L, today's move, best and worst performers, and full trade history.
5. Architecture
Kite Markets is a server-rendered application with a thin, verifiable data layer:
- ▸Market data. Equity quotes and charts are pulled from established finance data providers; tokenized-asset prices come straight from Robinhood Chain's official read APIs, cached briefly to stay live without hammering upstreams.
- ▸AI copilot. A large language model runs behind the app's own gateway with function-calling tools for quotes, technicals, news, and alerts — the model never invents numbers; it reads them from the same feed the charts use.
- ▸Execution. Swaps are signed in the user's own wallet via standard EIP-1193 providers, and on-chain routing targets Robinhood Chain's tokenized-equity venues. Until routing goes live, the terminal tracks paper fills at live market prices so strategy can be rehearsed risk-free.
- ▸Self-custody. Portfolios and alerts live on the user's device, keyed to their wallet address. Kite Markets holds no keys, takes no custody, and requires no account.
6. The $KITE token
$KITE is the native token of the Kite Markets community on Robinhood Chain. The contract address and distribution details will be published here and on the official social channels at launch — always verify the address on the block explorer before interacting.
Intended utilities at launch: fee rebates on terminal activity, early access to new copilot capabilities, and governance over which assets, chains, and features the terminal prioritizes next.
7. Roadmap
- ▸Live today. Tokenized-stock and crypto watchlists, charts and technicals, AI copilot, news feed, fair-price check, price alerts, and paper portfolio tracking.
- ▸Next. Live on-chain swap routing on Robinhood Chain, real contract addresses for $KITE, and multi-wallet portfolio sync.
- ▸Later. Limit-style order wrapping over RFQ venues, cross-chain tokenized equities, and a public API for the copilot's data tools.
8. Risks & disclosures
Tokenized equities and cryptocurrencies are volatile and can lose value. Market data may be delayed or unavailable; nothing in the terminal is financial advice. Swap routing is under active development — paper fills are not on-chain trades and carry no token risk. Always verify contract addresses independently before transacting.
